Connect with Art, Fire and Earth

Share a unique meeting experience around art and ceramics with some of the artists from the Nalda Espaciocomun art laboratory.

We will get to know the workshops and the work of each artist located in the upper part of the agricultural cooperative of Nalda.

We will go down to the garden to start up the primitive kiln, fixing the cracks caused by the rains with mud, slowly building a fire to heat it up, placing ceramic pieces around it, the ceramics have to reach temperature little by little. We will collect remains of biomass and we will continue to feed the fire, we will introduce the ceramic pieces, we will play with pigments and elements that give unique results in the ceramic pieces. While everything is being fired we will play with the plasticity of ceramics, creating our own pieces, small cups, bowls...

Once lunchtime approaches, we will use the residual heat from the top plate of the oven to prepare some Rioja-style potatoes and continue chatting about life and art with a little wine.

After the afternoon coffee, we will start to lower the temperature of the kiln so that we can take the pieces out and surprise ourselves with the results. When we say goodbye you will take a piece from the day's firing and leave the one you modelled for the next person who shares the day with us.

  • Experience available from Thursday to Saturday (except in months when burning is prohibited).
  • 5-7 hours duration, groups of 4 to 8 persons
