The Forau de la Tuta Roman site has been declared an Asset of Cultural Interest.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The elements of the Roman archaeological site of Artieda cannot be left uncovered for conservation and security reasons. The discoveries have been digitised with cameras and 3D scanners to join each piece virtually and create an immersive digital visit.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">On this visit you can also enjoy original pieces and a life-size reproduction of a Roman mosaic.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The activity is accessible in LSE for deaf people.<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b><i>Visits take place on the last weekend of each month. It also coincides with several cultural events that are held annually: the Jornadas Romanas de Artieda in the month of May (11 May 2024), the Jornadas de Puertas abiertas de la excavaci\u00f3n on the last Saturday of July (27 July 2024) and the Jornadas Europeas de Patrimonio (European Heritage Days) on 23 September. Outside these dates, the Tower-Museum can be visited on its own.<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400\"><b><i>The experience is free for children under 7 years old.<\/i><\/b><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><button class=\"wp-travel-booknow-btn\" data-gramm=\"false\">RESERVA \u270c\u00a0<\/button><\/p>","wp_travel_outline":"<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Artieda, a small municipality in the province of Zaragoza, but close to the Pyrenees, is a benchmark in the fight against depopulation. In the last five years, a large group of young people have decided to start a rural life in this municipality, which even has a cooperative of associated work and social initiative; Ixambre, created to offer opportunities to these people and to dynamise life in the village. It all started five years ago, when Artieda created a participatory process that they christened Empenta Artieda, whose aim was to attract and fix young people.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">In addition, a few years ago, an archaeological site was discovered; an unknown Roman city, an urban complex, dated between the 1st and 2nd centuries, which had infrastructures and public areas, such as baths, water supply, streets, sewers and possibly a temple.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">Anyone who comes to Artieda can visit the tower-museum on their own to learn about the findings of the local archaeological excavation of the \"Forao de la Tuta\", thanks to the explanatory panels with texts in Spanish, English, French, Aragonese and LSE.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">But with this experience you can also participate in a guided tour, conducted by volunteers from the association, to understand the historical and geographical context of the Roman city of Artieda, in addition to discovering the site through a virtual tour.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The archaeological methods used today will be explained, the history of the discoveries in 1963 will be told, the original Roman pieces and the life-size reproduction of the bichrome mosaic from the 1st-2nd century AD will be on display.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400\">The visit ends with a climb up to the bell tower, which offers spectacular views over the Berd\u00fan canal.
